Mother Nature's Red Poppy ... growing
in my garden. This makes me so happy! These Poppy's have offered
themselves up as a "Special Edition "Summer Solstice Red Poppy" Flower
Essence". The Mother Essence is dancing in a bowl right now and the
dance is beautiful as the wind nudges the petals to swirl the flowers in

I just finished my certification course with Star Riparetti of "Star Essence" in Santa Barbara, CA. I spent this lover's holy day with my sacred partners of the plant kingdom. It has come down to this ... if it grows from Mother Earth, if it has leaves, if it burst forth with
flowers, if it offers aroma, if it produces elixirs and oils, if it offers Sacred Plant Medicine then I AM INTO IT! I love aromatherapy, essential oils, flower essence, healing herbs, hydrosols, teas like lemon balm picked fresh from my garden ... emm-emm-emm! This explains why 10 hours in my garden has never been a long day.
While driving home last night from the first day of the workshop I realized that I believe that essential oils are the blood of the plant, hydrosols are the sweat of the plant and flower essences and tinctures are the tears of the plant. The plant kingdom gives of its all to us. The plant gives its all to us as we ask with reverence and as we take in appropriate measure with great gratitude.
I am well stocked with a great assortment of Star's amazing flower essences and I am being called by Source to get started with a few of my own, to be announced soon ... as soon as I do a bit more reading and get some supplies gathered together, however the arugula blossoms that are dancing outside of my healing room window has already placed the first call and who knows how long those beautiful little blossoms will wait?
UPDATE ... for June ...
As it is ... the arugula offered itself up to an enthusiastic, inexperienced practitioner and at first hand the essence was wonderful. The arugula was highly aromatic and lavish in its essence. As it was my first flower essence I didn't do it right. I wanted to maintain the floral aromatics and for that I did not use enough preservative in the "mother essence". The essence went bad within a few days. The empty jar, labeled "Arugula Flower Essence", proudly noting my first effort and date, sits at my alchemy altar to serve as a sanctuary for the Arugula Flowers that gave their life energy for the greater cause. I know ... I know ... and this is who I am.
From that inexperienced experience, I have drawn on knowledge and wisdom at every inspiration. I clipped back the volunteer arugula (trusting that they will be more potent from our second association) and I am patiently awaiting new flowers to burst open when they will.
From watching a revered "mother essence" waste away before my eyes, I now follow the tried and true formulations and the rewards have been clear. I have three new "mother essences" sitting in wait at my alchemy altar. They are as follows:

LOVE IN THE MIST FLOWER ESSENCE 4th Mother Essence 52911, and as of the moment of this website update it has yet to be lovingly classified. The name of the flower ... in and of itself ... will surely be a part of its activating properties.
I am deeply enthralled in this sweet, sacred process. I cannot thank Star of Star Essences enough in this lifetime, as she introduced me to this great love.
I am of course utilizing flower essences in my healing and counseling practice. The ways are being revealed to me each time I garden, as I go about my day, as a Hummingbird or a Butterfly change my view of the world. The Bees are showing me what flowers to talk to about their medicine.
